The first festival of culture of national minorities “Zaporizhzhia unites the world” gathered in the Victory Park representatives of 42 ethnic groups. The holiday was organized thanks to the victory in the contest “We Are City”.
Authentic music, song wealth, dancing, the beauty of national clothes, and, of course, lively communication and new acquaintances were plenty at the Festival of National Minorities. Participants in original costumes presented photographs, outfits and treats. Guests could get to know different nationalities and learn more about how these peoples live.
According to the organizer of the holiday, Naufal Hamdani, the purpose of the festival is to preserve and develop the national-cultural associations of our city. In addition, the aim was to confirm Zaporizhzhia as the city of culture and arts, peace and harmony:
– We are very glad that we won a grant and are proud of it. Holding such events is important for the entire region. It is being held for the first time in Zaporizhzhia city. We plan to develop it, attract more participants, and receive more guests. I really hope that it will become traditional. Its importance is also emphasized by the fact that all our societies wanted to participate, but we simply did not have the opportunity to reach everyone. This is all ahead, and today we want to emphasize that the festival needs to be supported, because Zaporizhzhia city is the heart of a multinational family. I am sincerely grateful to everyone who supported us!
