In 2019, Zaporizhstal will send about UAH 35 million to organize a health season for employees, their families and veterans of the Works. During the summer campaign, more than 8,000 Zaporizhstal workers and their families will rest and improve their health.
Zaporizhstal workers will be able to improve their health in 13 recreation facilities throughout Ukraine: this is the boarding house “Metallurg” (Novokonstantinovka settlement), “Mriya” recreation centre (Primorsk), “Chaika” (Kirillovka urban settlement) and other health resorts. The Works preserves the conditions for preferential recovery of employees, paying up to 60% of the cost of the voucher. Various health-improving practice, a balanced diet and a rich cultural program are at guests’ service.
Children’s health institutions – Sputnik (Velykyi Luh), Albatross and Primorsky (Genichesk, Arabatskaya Strelka) will receive more than 1,400 children of the Works’ workers in the summer season. Zaporizhstal will allocate more than 7 million hryvnas for children’s recovery. The guys will get educational games, sports and creative sections. In each shift, bright holidays “A Day with an Enterprise” will be held as a part of Metinvest’s corporate program “Territory of Childhood”.
In addition, Zaporizhstal Works annually organizes free entry for veterans of the Works to the sanatorium-preventorium on Khortytsya island, and check-in on preferential trips to the boarding house “Metallurg” (Novokonstantinovka settlement). In 2019, the company will allocate about 3 million hryvnias for those purposes.
