In the city multi-profile children’s hospital No. 5, new modern equipment for the treatment and prevention of vision disorders was installed.
It was possible to implement this idea thanks to the project “View of the world with the healthy eyes”, which became the winner in the contest of social initiatives “We are the city”.
The management of the hospital spent grant money for the equipment purchasing for the correction, recovery and treatment of chronic and acute diseases of vision: 2 computers with ophthalmologic programs and special stereoscopic glasses, the device for low-intensity laser therapy in ophthalmology, add-on device “KASKAD”.
“The working possibilities of the Eye Health room have changed dramatically,” says Andrei Zaporozhchenko, head doctor of the city children’s hospital No.5. – You cannot even compare the work of Eye Health room before and after the introduction of the project “Look at the world with healthy eyes”. In my opinion, experts who would have looked at the work of the Eye Health room earlier could call it a museum of rare exhibits.
Thanks to the cooperation with the socially responsible enterprise “Zaporizhstal”, we have received as well as computerized and specialized modern equipment.
