On May 28, 2018, in Zaporozhye, a family sports festival “Yaskraviy Zabig” will be held. The event will be held in the city for the first time. Residents and guests of Zaporozhye will be able to feel themselves participants of the world-wide Holi festival. The organizer of the event was the public organization “National Club of Amateur Athletes” with the support of the Zaporozhye City Council. “Yaskraviy Zabig” will be held with the financial support of the Zaporizhstal Works.
Support of sports in the region is one of the key directions of the social policy of the Works. The company regularly hosts sports events, family and sports festivals, active leisure tournaments, etc. In 2017, Zaporizhstal Half Marathon sponsored by Zaporizhstal, was held for the first time in Zaporozhye. Half a marathon was attended by about 1500 participants and more than 3000 fans. Zaporozhye was included in the number of sports cities in the world, which hosted events of this magnitude.
