Young professionals who choose the company’s enterprises as their first job receive UAH 50,000 in addition to their salary and bonus during the first year of employment. In the first four months of the programme, 80 young professionals and workers joined the programme.
Since May 2024, Zaporizhstal and other Metinvest Group enterprises in Zaporizhzhia have been running the First Job incentive programme. The programme is developed for graduates of vocational schools, colleges, technical schools and universities with no work experience who are employed by Metinvest.
“The programme is aimed at developing and supporting Ukrainian youth, creating a favourable environment in which they will be able to realise their professional ambitions and ideas for the development of the industry and the country. Using a young generation-oriented approach – not for young people, but together with young people – the programme helps to retain young and talented professionals and promote their career growth,” said Maksym Ped, Zaporizhstal’s HR Director.
The employed young professionals will receive a bonus of UAH 50,000 during the first year of employment, provided that they comply with industrial safety rules and have no disciplinary violations. The programme also provides for mentoring support, additional on-the-job training, social guarantees and involvement in the corporate culture.
The first 80 young professionals participating in the programme have already received the first payments totalling UAH 400,000 out of the planned UAH 4,000,000. In addition, the programme is ongoing and invites young people to participate.
