The regional bike race “Unity in the name of Victory”, in which more than 400 people took part, united youth from different parts of our region – schoolchildren and students, representatives of enterprises and public organizations, volunteers and soldiers. The action takes place for the third time. Zaporizhstal workers also did not stay aside.
The race started on Heroes’ Square, where its participants created a panel picture of unity, holding together pieces with the symbols of the Second World War – the image of a poppy. Then bikers ride along Soborny Avenue to the Alley of Fighting Glory, where they completed the campaign with flower laying.
– The youth of Zaporizhstal Steel Works traditionally takes part in the regional bike race, – said the leader of youth organization of PJSC Zaporizhstal Sergey Ilchenko. – For the youth of the Works and for me personally the Victory Day is a very important feast. This action is a small part of what we can do, express respect to our veterans and symbolically unite the region, Ukraine.
A number of events are planned for the Victory Day by the youth of the Works. Zaporizhstal workers will visit veterans in hospitals, sanatoriums, and at home.
