8 teams reached the final of the game “What? Where? When?” for the Metinvest Cup. This right they won in the second semifinal of the game, which was held in Zaporozhye, in the Palace of Culture of Metallurgists. The best result was shown by the Zaporizhstal team “uKISS” (UKIS team).
In total, 19 teams competed in intellectual game, that is more than 100 people in total from enterprises of the Metinvest group – Zaporizhstal, Zaporozhkoks, Zaporozhogneupor, Zaporozhye Foundry and Mechanical Plant, Metinvest Shiping, Metinvest Resurs, Avdeyevka Coke and Chemical Plant , as well as universities and colleges of the city.
– The first game of the semi-final was held in Mariupol, where 8 finalists were selected, – said the chairman of the youth organization Metinvest, the head of the social programs of the management of the personnel policy of Metinvestholding Artem Shapoval. – On July 7, the semifinal will be held in Krivoy Rog. The final is scheduled to be held in late July in Kiev. The Works pays much attention to the development of sports, youth creativity, and we decided to develop the intellectual direction, because it is also in demand. We have a gifted, intelligent youth.
Leader of the youth organization of “Zaporizhstal” PJSC Sergey Ilchenko conveyed sincere greetings from the General Director of Zaporizhstal Works Rostyslav Shurma to the participants of the game.
– It is very pleasant that this qualifying round takes place on Zaporozhye land, our region represents a lot of teams,” said Sergei Ilchenko. – At the Zaporizhstal Works, the tradition of “What? Where? When?” game is passed on from generation to generation. Therefore, in the last game we had a record number of teams – more than 30. 5 teams from Zaporizhstal, which today participate in the qualifying round – the best at the Works for the outcome of the games.
Teams responded to 36 questions, which required a wide range of views and wit. The wielders from the Zaporizhstal team “uKISS” were shining with knowledge. The guys promise to perform well in the finals.
