The Third City Forum of Social Initiatives for senior pupils was held at the “Kozak-Palats” exhibition center. Traditionally PJSC “Zaporizhstal” supported the holding of forum for young people.
Totally 60 applications were submitted to the forum, they are scientific studies in different areas. 40 pupils of 9-11 grades from Zaporizhzhia educational institutions could present their projects.
Each participant of the forum had to make a presentation of his project. The subjects of the works were different: from poetry to agronomy and industrial tourism. Also the location “STEM – laboratory” worked at the forum, where students of universities conducted various master classes for participants.
The scientific projects of youth was assessed by the representatives from the Department of Education and Science of the City Council, Zaporizhstal, Zaporozhogneupor, ZGIA, ZNU, ZNTU and other organizations. 5 pupils received certificates for 3000 UAH from Zaporizhstal Steel Works.
– Zaporizhzhia always proud of its youth, it’s our potential,” said Yaroslav Kryl, head of the PJSC Zaporizhstal division. – And state policy should be aimed specifically at the development of youth, in creating comfortable working conditions and living. In order our youth not go abroad, but stayed here and worked for the benefit of our country. I want to say that exactly Zaporizhstal is working in this direction. Today’s forum has a lot of interesting topics. I want to highlight the topic of industrial tourism. We had a conference on this topic. We presented Zaporizhstal Steel works on last year’s tourism forum. I believe that such forums are necessary because they show potential of the students. Next year, if we are invited we will support it once again.
