The shop management and the trade union organization of Metallurgical Equipment Maintenance Shop No.1 prepared for the ceremonial event in advance. The 75th Anniversary, the birth date of the collective of repairmen, is a date which inspires not only respect, but also honour. Irrespective of the difficulties the Works faces, a possibility is always found to congratulate and thank the people for their hard and noble work. 25 of the best workers of the shop have been stimulated according to the Order of the Works. On the day of the Anniversary, i.e. before the work day started, the ceremonial meeting took place, at which the Chief Mechanic of the Works Andrey Zvegintsev on behalf of the administration and his department warmly and cordially congratulated the collective, highly appreciated the skill and experience of the specialists, noted the importance of the mission and responsibility of the repairmen at the metallurgical enterprise, expressed confidence that this patriotic spirit will not get lost in the future and wished the specialists success in their work, sound health and family well-being. The Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of Zaporizhstal JSC Leonid Bezlepkin joined in with the congratulations. He came to present the active workers of the trade union with a ceremonial certificate. Among them were the following persons: chairman of the shop trade union Vladimir Naumov, member of the trade union committee, chief of the shop Nikolay Dimitrov, chairman of the labour safety committee Grigory Sugatskiy, chairman of the committee on work among women Lyubov Ivanova, trade union group leaders Sergey Sokolovskiy and Victor Strikha. In high spirits the teams went to the hot strip mill shop where the shutdown hot strip mill was to be repaired. After a hard working day they enjoyed performances of amateur actors of the Palace of Culture who arrived to the shop to present a concert program.
