Metinvest Group's Zaporizhstal Iron and Steel Works has successfully passed an audit for compliance of hot-rolled and cold-rolled products with EN 10025 and EN 10130 standards.

On 23–24 February 2026, auditors from Technical and Management Services LLC, a corporate partner of the German group TÜV SÜD Ukraine, reviewed the production technology for hot‑rolled and cold‑rolled steel at Zaporizhstal.

The key audit sites were the main rolling mills: the hot rolling mill and the cold rolling mill. The specialists paid particular attention to examining how product testing for mechanical properties is organised and conducted in the laboratories of the plant’s Product Testing and Certification Centre. As part of the audit, the auditors examined the regulatory, technical, and organisational documentation that the plant adheres to in the production of rolled steel.

The inspectors gave high marks for the stability of production processes, the consistent execution of process operations, and the level of product quality control ensured by the plant under wartime conditions.

Following the audit, Zaporizhstal received a three‑year certificate of conformity for its hot‑rolled and cold‑rolled steel products, confirming compliance with the requirements of EN 10025‑1:2004 (Annex ZA), Construction Regulation (EU) No 305/2011, and EN 10130.

It should be mentioned that Zaporizhstal has been operating in accordance with EN 10025-1: 2004 and EN 10130: 2006 standards since 2016. As a reminder, Zaporizhstal has been certified and has consistently confirmed its compliance with international standards, including the Quality Management System (ISO 9001) since 2003, the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) since 2008, and the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001) since 2008.
