In the orphanage “Solnyshko” an ecological action “Give a tree to a kid” was launched in the framework of the project “Ecogorodok”. PJSC “Zaporizhstal” supported the first stage of planting the first green plantations.
40 juniper bushes – this is the beginning of a large ecological project for the greening of the playground. In the future, coniferous shrubs will grow and become a beautiful green hedge with the shady cool place, where children will be able to rest during hot and sunny days.
Monetary funds for the purchase of bushes were allocated by the enterprice, which has been helping the “Solnyshko” child’s home for several years with its projects for the improvement of the territory for children. The project “Give a tree to a kid” is the final stage of the building of a children’s inclusive playground. This construction work began a year earlier with the support of ‘Zaporizhstal”.
“We have a wonderful inclusive playground, where you would like not only to relax, but also to learn this world, and to make it even more holistic, that is why based on the abovementioned we decided to launch this environmental project. Children told us themselves that they do not have enough green hedge, because the fence is in an unattractive condition. Today, together with the sponsors and children, we plant junipers, and in two months, we will plant 21 more pine trees. As a result, we will have a high-grade coniferous small wood,” said Elena Lebedeva, Chief Medical Doctor of the Child’s Home.
