Students of the Educational Project of the British Council in Ukraine have visited PJSC "Zaporizhstal". On March 16, 2018, students from Ukrainian universities participated in the National Science initiative "StudentAction - Effective student organizations", which included a visit to PJSC “Zaporizhstal”. They became acquainted with the youth policy of the enterprise and the production processes at the steelworks.
Students from all over Ukraine visited PJSC “Zaporizhstal”. The students began their acquaintance with the enterprise by visiting the central control room and explored large-scale ecological modernization projects, including blast furnace No. 3 and the new pickling line in cold rolling shop No. 1, as well as the hot rolling shop for thin sheet and railway transport management.
The guests learned about the motivational projects aimed at developing young specialists at PJSC “Zaporizhstal”, as well as the social initiatives and volunteer efforts realized by youth workers with the support of the steelworks.
PJSC "Zaporizhstal” boasts a high level of youth self-government organization. The activity and solidarity of young adults, along with their extensive experience in implementing social initiatives, were impressive. "From this point of view, it was useful for us to adopt interesting projects from the youth of the PJSC “Zaporizhstal” and share our experience with them," noted Julia Vlasenko, the representative of the British Council in Ukraine and organizer of the student visit.
Additionally, during their visit to Zaporizhzhya, the students attended Zaporozhye National University and learned about the operations of the Zaporozhye City Council.
