Zaporizhstal has confirmed the certificate in the field of energy management in accordance with international standard ISO 50001. The enterprise was audited by specialists of the company "Technical and Management Services" LLC, a corporate partner of "TÜV SÜD”.

On May 3-4, 2018, the Zaporizhstal Steel Works successfully passed the second supervisory audit of the Energy Management System for compliance with the requirements of the international standard ISO50001:2011.

Zaporizhstal demonstrates the high involvement in energy saving of workers at all levels. When implementing projects of any scale, two aspects are of key importance here: energy efficiency of equipment and its environmental safety. This is a modern European approach to production, when projects are analyzed and implemented taking into account the long-term perspective," said in conclusion Mikhail Levitsky, General Director of LLC "Technical and Management Services," emphasizing the audit results.

Auditors highly appreciated the work of the Works in the field of energy resources management. The company's policy in the field of integrated quality management system, energy efficiency, labor protection and ecology, updated in 2017 taking into account new trends, was noted. The auditors paid attention to the systematic nature of work aimed at systematic and continuous reduction of energy consumption and reducing the burden on the environment. It was also noted the high awareness of the employees of the enterprise and the progressiveness of the motivational tools operating at the Works.

Zaporizhstal was certified and regularly since 2008 confirms its compliance with the requirements of international standards for environmental management systems ISO 14001, quality management ISO 9001, and occupational health and safety management OHSAS 18001.
