Zaporizhzhia Enterprises of Metinvest Transferred UAH 1.4 Billion of Taxes and Fees to the Budget of Ukraine in the First Half of 2023

Metinvest Group enterprises in Zaporizhzhia – “Zaporizhstal”, “Zaporozhogneupor”, “Zaporozhcoke” and Zaporizhzhia Foundry and Mechanical Plant – remain a reliable support of the Ukrainian economy and are among the largest taxpayers in the region. In the first half of 2023, Zaporizhzhia Enterprises of Metinvest transferred almost UAH 1.4 billion of taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels.

“Despite all the challenges that a full-scale war brings us, we work and support Ukraine and Ukrainians. After all, we realize what an important role the domestic producer and MMC in particular play in the stability of the national economy. Therefore, we deliberately do not take advantage of the tax benefits guaranteed by the state in the conditions of martial law, and we pay taxes in full. This is our contribution to the support of Ukraine and the approach of our Victory”, said Roman Slobodyanyuk, General Director of “Zaporizhstal” of Metinvest Group.

Zaporizhzhia enterprises of Metinvest – “Zaporizhstal”, “Zaporozhogneupor”, “Zaporozhcoke” and Zaporizhzhia Foundry and Mechanical Plant – paid almost UAH 364 million to local budgets for January-June 2023. The largest deductions from Zaporizhzhia enterprises of Metinvest to the state treasury are for the payment of a single social security tax, personal income tax, income tax and customs payments. Subsoil use fees, land fees, and environmental tax have also become significant sources of filling the state and local budgets.

Let us recall, that  Zaporizhzhia enterprises of Metinvest did not take advantage of tax benefits under martial law and paid more than UAH 350 million to the state.

Please note, that Metinvest paid more than UAH 6.3 billion of the taxes to the budget of Ukraine in the first half of 2023. In the conditions of war, Metinvest remains a reliable support of Ukraine and Ukrainians. Since the beginning of the full-scale war,  Metinvest has directed UAH 3.7 billion to support the state and its citizens, more than UAH 2 billion of which – for the needs of the army under Rinat Akhmetov’s Steel Front military initiative.
