Zaporizhstal Works has Confirmed its Compliance with International Quality, Labor Protection and Environmental Standards

In October 2020, Zaporizhstal successfully passed the recertification audit of the Integrated Quality and Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 14001: 2015, as well as the second supervisory audit in accordance with the requirements of ISO 45001: 2015 – labor protection.

Auditors of the international company “Bureau Veritas Certification Ukraine” conducted an audit for compliance with international standards of sintering, steelmaking and rolling production processes. During the audit, the auditors highly appreciated the level of the Integrated Management System functioning, an effective system of preventive quality management, adherence to environmentally friendly solutions implemented at the enterprise, and an informal approach of personnel to health and safety issues.

Zaporizhstal consistently demonstrates progress in customer focus and work on quality, which is especially important during the crisis. The involvement of the team in the processes of continuous improvement and the development of motivational programs for employees deserve special attention. Together, all these solutions allow keeping production efficiency at a high level,” noted Viacheslav Gorin, a leading auditor of Bureau Veritas Certification Ukraine.

Based on the results of the audit of Zaporizhstal, it was recommended to issue new certificates according to ISO 9001: 2015; ISO 14001: 2015 and one year renewal of the ISO 45001: 2018 certificate.
