Zaporizhstal of Metinvest Group jointly with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has handed over two anesthesia stations for operating rooms and surgical consumables worth UAH 4.5 million to the doctors of the Zaporizhia Military Hospital. The cost of surgical instruments, medicines and equipment donated by Rinat Akhmetov’s SCM enterprises for the needs of the hospital since the beginning of war has totalled UAH 15 million.
On 04 August 2022, the military hospital in Zaporizhzhia received two modern Brightfield anesthesia stations manufactured in Belgium together with the German Dräger multigas modules for their operation theater. They are used for anesthesia and artificial ventilation of patients’ lungs during operations.
One more batch of consumables such as medical gloves, syringes, alcohol, etc. worth UAH 200,000 was handed over for the surgery department. The Foundation in concert with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine compiled the list of medical equipment to cover the hospital’s needs.
“While our enemies show their worst qualities – cynicism and cruelty, we, Ukrainians, are more united, strong and brave than ever. We all have stood up for the defense of our country and have been keeping our front. Since the early days of the war, Metinvest and the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation have been supporting Ukrainian civil and military hospitals. The Company has been donating modern medical equipment and medicines to provide emergency medical care to patients who have suffered as a result of military operations. This assistance is vitally important to both the patients and the medical staff,” noted Oleksandr Myronenko, General Director of Metinvest Group Zaporizhstal.
Also, under Saving Lives humanitarian project founded by Metinvest Group together with DTEK in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, the hospital received medical suits and gowns, probes, surgical paper and fabric plaster worth UAH 370,000 for their operating rooms.
As a reminder, in May 2022 Zaporizhstal of Metinvest Group together with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation handed over emergency medical care equipment and medicines worth UAH 2.5 million to the doctors of the Zaporizhia Military Hospital, as well as surgical equipment and medicines worth UAH 8 million for equipping the operation theater.
