As a part of Metinvest Group, Zaporizhstal together with Rinat Akhmetov Foundation systematically provides medical oxygen to hospitals in Ukraine to save the lives of patients with COVID-19. Since the beginning of April, hospitals in Zaporizhzhia and Khmelnitsky regions have already received free assistance in the amount of more than 126 tons of liquid medical oxygen, followed by deliveries to other Ukrainian hospitals.
In Zaporizhzhia, seven medical institutions receive medical oxygen from Zaporizhstal, licensed by the Ministry of Health as a medicine: city hospitals No. 1, 2, 6, 7, 9, city children’s hospital No. 5 and maternity hospital No. 4.
“Patients are in great need of oxygen, and doctors also need oxygen to save the lives of patients. From the moment of obtaining a license for the production of oxygen as a medicine, medical institutions of many regions of Ukraine contact us with a request to provide oxygen. We have already set up a systematic supply to hospitals in Zaporizhzhia, 40 tons of oxygen were sent to the Khmelnitsky region. At the moment we are working on deliveries to Sinelnikovo, Yuzhnoukrainsk (Mykolaiv region) and Vinnitsa”, – stressed out the General Director of Zaporizhstal Aleksandrr Mironenko.
In the Khmelnitsky region, Zaporizhstal oxygen is used for patients hospitalized in the hospitals of Dunaevtsy, Volochisk, Teofipol, Starokonstantinov, Shepetovka, Izyaslav, Slavuta, Polonny, the city and infectious diseases hospitals of Khmelnitsky, as well as in the regional hospital for war veterans. Epicenter K LLC helped organize the transportation of the Works medical oxygen to hospitals in the Khmelnitsky region.
