In October 2022, “Zaporizhstal” of the Metinvest Group successfully passed supervisory audits of the integrated management system for compliance with the requirements of international quality standards ISO 9001:2015, environmental management ISO 14001:2015, occupational health and safety ISO 45001:2018 and a recertification audit for requirements of the energy management standard ISO 50001:2018.
The auditors of the company “Veritas Certification Bureau Ukraine” conducted inspections of the divisions of the plant for compliance with the requirements of the international standards of the integrated management system for quality, ecology and labour protection. Specialists of the audit company “Technical and management services”, a corporate partner of “TÜV SÜD”, conducted a recertification audit on energy management. Audits were conducted in the sintering, blast furnace, steel smelting, hot rolling mill and energy divisions of the plant.
During the inspection, the auditors highly rated the level of functioning of the integrated management system at the enterprise: an effective system of preventive quality management, compliance with international environmental standards, implementation of effective energy-saving measures and an informal approach of employees to issues of labour protection and industrial safety.
According to the results of the audits, “Zaporizhstal” was recommended to extend the certificates of compliance with the ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards, as well as to obtain a certificate confirming the compliance of the energy management system ISO 50001:2018.
It should be noted that “Zaporizhstal” is certified and since 2001 regularly confirms its compliance with the international standard of the quality management system; since 2007, international standards for environmental management systems, occupational health and safety management; since 2013, the international standard of the energy management system.
