The management of the Works warmly congratulated the chief of the board — general director of Zaporizhstal JSC Vitaliy Antonovich Satskiy with his 60th anniversary of labour activity.
After graduating from the Dnepropetrovskiy Metallurgiacal Institute V.A. Satskiy’s entire life was devoted to the development of domestic metallurgy. After starting mastering his specialty at “Krivorozhstal” as a roller of the rolling shop he rapidly escalated to the peak of professionalism and management, becoming chief engineer of this metallurgical giant.
In the 80-s Vitaliy Antonovich became head of the All-Union scientific and research institute “Mekhchermet”, after which he was appointed as the chief of republic society “Ukrmetallurgprom”, concentrating management of the entire steel production in Ukraine, and this was about 40% of total amount of the metallurgical industry of the former USSR.
And almost a quarter of a century has passed from the day when Vitaliy Antonovich connected his activity with our enterprise. In many respects Zaporizhstal JSC owes its prosperity to the creative energy, encyclopedic knowledge and talent of this person, allocated both in management and the creation and step-by-step implementation of the program of the technical re-equipment of the basic capacities of our Works.
V.A. Satskiy’s best personal qualities significantly show up in the background of crisis periods of the country and the branch of industry. Because of his surprising moral courage and his skill to make a right decision, the Works preserves its potential and working collective.
His contribution to the development of domestic metallurgy has been marked by many rewards, titles and academic degrees. V.A. Satskiy was among the first in our country who was honored the Title of Hero of Ukraine. This honor, as well as the Yaroslav Mudriy’s order, recently bestowed to him, have become the source of pride for the 20 thousand working collective, headed by Vitaliy Antonovich. His name is associated with the hope for tomorrow for each employee of the Works. Therefore each Zaporizhstal worker and the veterans of the Works sincerely wish their dear leader Vitaliy Antonovich Satskiy strong health and inspiration for profitable activity for the prosperity of the Works and the Zaporozhye region.
