On March 12, 2019, the ceremonial start of the social projects contest “We are the city”, organized by the PJSC “Zaporizhstal” works, took place. In 2019, 5.7 million UAH were allocated for the implementation of the best social ideas of Zaporozhye citizens, funds were sent by Zaporozhye enterprises of Metinvest such as: PJSC “Zaporizhstal”, PJSC “Zaporozhogneupor”, PJSC “Zaporozhkoks” and “Zaporozhye Foundry and Mechanical Plant”.
More than 300 representatives of public organizations, initiative Zaporozhye citizens and social engineering experts took part in the launch event of the contest “We are the city”.
“The scale of the contest “We are the city” can be estimated not only by its financing, but also by the number of participants, which annually grows and unites for the implementation of social initiatives. Our common goal is a comfortable, prosperous Zaporozhye city, our common value is unification for the best future of the city, where live hundreds of thousands of people,” – said General Director of PJSC “Zaporizhstal” Rostislav Shurma.
The Expert Council of the contest “We are the city”, which included representatives of the grant maker industrial enterprises, competent representatives of large public organizations and the scientific community, was headed by top manager of Metinvest Victor Bus’ko.
Applications will be accepted until April 21 inclusive in the following areas: improvement of the city’s infrastructure; culture, education, sport; volunteering and patriotism.
We remind that during the entire existence of the contest “We are the city”, residents of Zaporozhye submitted 1233 applications for participation, the 230 best ones were implemented. The grant fund of the contest for the whole period amounted to 15.3 million UAH.
