Since April 2021, “ZAPORIZHSTAL Iron and Steel Works” of Metinvest Group has donated about 800 tons of medical oxygen to Ukrainian hospitals. A life-saving medication is used for oxygen therapy of patients with coronavirus infection in medical institutions in Zaporizhia, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolayiv regions.
“Zaporizhstal” is a certified supplier of liquid medical oxygen. The enterprise has a multi-stage system of oxygen quality control: each lot shipped by the Works is laboratory tested for compliance with regulatory limits.
Oxygen from “Zaporizhstal” helps to treat patients in the Zaporizhia Regional Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital, where on April 21, 2021, a modern oxygen station was put into operation, construction of which was financed by “ZAPORIZHSTAL Iron and Steel Works” of Metinvest Group with the support of Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
From the very beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, “ZAPORIZHSTAL” and Metinvest together with Rinat Akhmetov Foundation provide assistance to medical institutions in Zaporizhia region: healthcare professionals re-ceived 16 oxygen concentrators, 15 lung ventilators, 34 thousand of express-tests and three thousand of personal protective equipment from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
