Roman Slobodianiuk has been appointed as Acting General Director of Zaporizhstal of Metinvest Group. Oleksandr Myronenko, who until recently held the concurrent position of the head of Zaporizhstal, will continue working as the COO of the Company.
Roman’s career path began in 2012 at Zaporizhstal. Roman Slobodianiuk was a shop-floor worker in the hot rolling shop. Position of a manager at the continuous improvement department became the next step in his career. In 2013, Roman Slobodianiuk headed the newly created unit at the plant – the metalware shop, which, under his leadership, showed high efficiency, supported by economic indicators, in a short time.
In 2018, Roman Slobodianiuk was appointed as Deputy Production Director – Head of the Production Department of Zaporizhstal. In 2019-2022, he worked in the Operations Directorate of Metinvest Group as Production Director.
“In circumstances of a full-scale war, Zaporizhstal has chosen to be on a course that supports the national economy. To do this, we continue our work on the stabilization of business processes in order to save the plant and reach full production capacity as soon as possible. Today we are already working on increasing the competitiveness of steel products. I am convinced that we will be able to achieve the goal by means of strengthening the synergy of the company’s functions. Zaporizhstal will continue to be a reliable support for Ukraine until the victory and after it, during the development and revival of the country,” said Roman Slobodianiuk.
Roman Slobodianiuk was born in 1989 in Zaporizhzhia. He graduated from Zaporizhzhia State Technical University with a degree in Electromechanical Automation and Electric Drive Systems.
