As a part of social responsibility PJSC “Zaporizhstal” has financed the opening in Zaporozhye of interactive fan zone on the cascade of fountains “Raduga” by supporting the initiative of the mayor Vladimir Buryak. The Works allocated more than 500 thousand UAH for this purpose.
Grand opening of the interactive playground will be held on June 10, 2016, which is the day of the beginning of European Football Championship in France. On this day the opening ceremony of Euro 2016 final part and the first match of the Championship between national teams of France and Romania will be in live broadcast.
In Zaporozhye fan zone Euro 2016 matches will be broadcast on a unique and largest in Ukraine plasma screen 40 square meters in area. Interactive playground will run from 10 June to 10 July. Capacity of playground is up to 10 thousand people. For guests of fan zone sports and interactive competitions will be held, as well as flash mobs in support of the Ukrainian national team.
“Football is a game of millions, which band completely different people together in a large family of football fans. We will together with all Zaporozhye citizens support Ukrainian national team. I am sure that citizens and guests of the city will spend with pleasure football summer 2016 on the main interactive playground of Zaporozhye” – said the CEO of PJSC «Zaporizhstal» Rostislav Shurma.
PJSC “Zaporizhstal” systematically supports sport development in Zaporozhye. Annually the Works sends more than 12 million hryvnia for the support of children’s sports schools and other organizations. Also the Works provides maintenance and development of athletic sports complex, which is the official training base of Ukraine national team in athletics. For this purpose “Zaporizhstal” allocated 10.9 million hryvnia in 2015.
