«Zaporizhstal» PLSC had completely performed the dismantling works at the site of the Blast Furnace No.3 reconstruction. General scope of the dismantled structures made up over 12 thousand tons.
Over 600 Works’ specialists and contract organizations, a powerful crane of Mammoet Company with lifting capacity of 1600 tons and 15 cranes of different lifting capacities had been engaged daily in the dismantling works at BF No.3. 85 Major units, with weight up to 120 tons each of them, had been dismantled.
«During sixty days we could manage to completely dismantle the structures of old furnace and we cleaned out the site for the most responsible stage – start-up of the STD assembly of the furnace. Today, the elements of the furnace shell are already prepared for erection at the site», The General Director of «Zaporizhstal» PJSC Rostyslav Shurma noted.
Let us remind you that the reconstructed Blast Furnace No.3 at «Zaporizhstal» PJSC, will be equipped with the latest aspiration system together with the continuous automatic control instruments, that meets the strictest European requirements. Besides, within the project, they will install a new belles-top charging device, they will increase the number of tuyeres from 16 to 20 and they will make a combined lining applying the latest technologies. Besides, they will replace scale capsule with charge-conveying system at the BF No.3, the furnace cooling system will be equipped with copper cooling plates. The Works’ investments into the project make up about UAH 1.5 billiard.
