UKRAINIAN PIPE MANUFACTURERS ARRIVE AT PJSC “ZAPORIZHSTAL” WITH A WORKING VISIT

On the 25th of November, 2015, PJSC “Zaporizhstal” was visited by representatives of the pipe industry of Ukraine – key customers of the integrated works – PJSC “Kominmet”, INTERPIPE NMPP, “Trubostal” Pipe Plant and others. Within the visit, the meeting attendees have discussed the issues of developing further cooperation with the integrated works under the conditions of declining economy.

The meeting attendees pointed out, that nowadays there has occurred a difficult situation on the Ukrainian market under the conditions of economic and political instability. Despite that, the integrated works maintains shipments on the achieved level at a time, when there is a general decline on the consumer market of rolled metal products; it is due to client-oriented approach and consumer services. Thus, over 10 months of 2015, the integrated works reached increase in hot-rolled products sales on the domestic market by 6% to the pipe-manufacturing enterprises, while in general the consumption of rolled metal products in Ukraine tended to reduce by 20%.

“Pipe-manufacturing enterprises of Ukraine are the key customers of the integrated works “Zaporizhstal” – share of sales constitutes 50% of the integrated works’ products supplies to the domestic market. Joint concerted efforts together with enterprises of pipe-manufacturing industry against the background of declining Ukrainian economy and situation on the global markets is a bright example of the way to develop cooperation inside the state. By developing relationships with the pipe manufacturing enterprises, we are supporting pipe-manufacturing industry and increasing our country’s potential,” pointed out the Sales Director of PJSC “Zaporizhstal” Volodymyr Kolomiiets.

“Zaporizhstal” is our strategic supplier and partner. Over the last years, we have seen the revamping in progress and improvement in quality of “Zaporizhstal” metal. Despite the difficulty of the general situation on the global markets, decrease of the domestic market by 40-50 percent, and absence of any support from the state, together with “Zaporizhstal” we shall overcome this difficult times and produce competitive pipe products,” pointed out the director of PJSC “Dnipropetrovsk Comintern Steel Plant” Serhiy Iehorov.
