On the 9th of February, 2016, «Zaporizhstal» PJSC, within realization of the project of sintering plant ecological modernization, shut down sintering machine No.4 for connection of gas cleaning machine.
«Zaporizhstal» PJSC consistently realizes revamping and modernization of the production equipment with the aim of reducing pollution emissions into atmosphere. For the period from 2013, the gas cleaning equipment was in-stalled at sintering machine No.1 and sintering machine No.2. At present, they perform commissioning work for gas cleaning system at sintering machine No.3.
The operation principle of new gas cleaning system of sintering machine No.4 is in multistage cleaning of exhausted gases: gas undergoes cleaning in the bag filters; trapped iron-contained dust from the bag filters returns back to the sintering plant production process. In the gas cleaning equipment of sintering machine No.4, the bag filters with pulse momentum recovery are installed, made by the largest Ukrainian gas cleaning equipment manufacturer – «Progress» Berdychev machine-building plant, as well as the draught equipment made by REITZ (Germany). The new gas cleaning equipment will provide air cleaning at sintering machine No.4 from dust – up to 20 mg/m3, for sulphur dioxide – less than 400 mg/m3, which will meet the requirements of European norms in emissions, as well as will permit to reduce draining of polluted slime water stepwise from the recirculation system of the sinter plant.
