PJSC “Zaporizhstal” will hold a number of socially significant events for veterans of the Works who participated in the war. For these purposes, the Works will send more than 400 thousand UAH.
The Zaporizhstal Steel Works allocated more than 90 thousand UAH for welfare assistance to veterans who participated in warfare, war invalids and family members of the victims.
By the memorable date the Works organized a free trip to the sanatorium-preventorium on the island Khortitsa for 101 veterans and workers of the home front. In the health resort, as well as in the Palace of Culture, there were festive concerts and lunches for veterans. At home, veterans are seen and presented with gifts by volunteers of the veterans council of the enterprise and activists of the youth organization of the Works.
On May 5 in the Palace of Culture and on May 9 in the sanatorium-preventorium will hold ceremonial events and organize festive dinners.
On May 9 the youth of the Works will hold an annual charity event “Let’s drive veteran” which means that Zaporizhstal workers will drive veterans on their personal cars to the places of celebration timed to the 72nd anniversary of the Great Victory.
PJSC “Zaporizhstal” traditionally takes part in the charitable telethon “Memory”. To help veteran organizations of the region, the enterprise sent 25 thousand UAH. PJSC “Zaporozhogneupor” and PJSC “Zaporozhkoks” also joined the campaign and transferred 15 thousand UAH respectively.
The veteran organization of PJSC “Zaporizhstal” consists of 629 people – veterans who participated in warfare, war invalids and family members of the victims. 346 veterans were awarded medals for services during the Great Patriotic War.
