PJSC “Zaporizhstal” will hold a number of socially important events in anticipation of celebration of the 71st anniversary of the Great Victory for the Works’ veterans – participants in the War. The Works has allocated UAH 400 thousand for congratulation of the veterans.

PJSC “Zaporizhstal” has allocated material aid to combatants, disabled veterans and family members of the victims for an amount of UAH 110 thousand by the 71st anniversary of the Great Victory.

During the celebration of memorable dates, the staff of the Works will visit veterans at their homes and in the hospitals where they will hand the veterans memorable gifts. For the purpose of health care and leisure of veterans, a free health season in the Works’ sanatorium-preventorium was organized on Khortytsia Island for 110 war veterans and war workers starting from April 26.

On May 6, in the metallurgists’ Culture Centre, a gala concert will take place for the war veterans and veterans of work. At the event, the veterans will be handed valuable presents (household appliances), and a festive dinner will be organized for them. An official event and festive dinner will also be held in the Works’ sanatorium-preventorium on Khortytsia Island on May 9.

The youth organization of PJSC "Zaporizhstal" will carry out the charitable action “Give a Lift to a Veteran” on May 8 and 9. During this time, employees of the Works will give a ride to the veterans in their private cars free of charge to the venue of the city events dedicated to the Victory Day. Around one hundred private cars belonging to Zaporizhstal young people will take part in this charity action.

PJSC "Zaporizhstal" traditionally participates in the charitable event of a "Memory" telethon which will be organized by the Zaporizhzhia regional administration. For this action, the Works have transferred UAH 25 thousand for charitable purposes to the veteran organizations of the Zaporizhzhia region.

There are 813 veterans of the Works in the veteran organization of PJSC "Zaporizhstal" – participants of war, including combatants, disabled veterans and family members of the victims. Among them, 411 veterans have been awarded with medals and orders for merit during the Great Patriotic War.
