In a heartfelt initiative, Metinvest enterprises in Zaporizhzhia, including Zaporizhstal, Zaporizhcoke, Zaporozhogneupor, and Zaporizhzhia Casting and Mechanical Works, have presented New Year gift packages to the children of their employees. This year, over 8,000 presents were prepared, reflecting the company's commitment to supporting families during the holiday season.
Metinvest allocated around 3.8 million hryvnias for the purchase of these presents. Traditionally, the enterprises greet their employees' children, up to 16 years of age, with gift packages for the New Year holidays. The packages this year included handmade chocolates and arts & crafts kits. Overall, Metinvest Group plans to distribute more than 60 thousand New Year present packages to children from 36 Ukrainian and foreign enterprises.
Additionally, over 600 children in need, including boarders from the Centre for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children, the Regional Specialized Infant Orphanage "Solnyshko," and the Boarding Schools "Svitanok" and "Oberih," received sweet packages from Zaporizhstal for St. Nicholas Day.
It is also noteworthy that on 17 December 2021, a unique New Year village with the residence of St. Nicholas was inaugurated in Kozatske Kolo square. This initiative was part of the reconstruction of Khortytsia Island, undertaken by regional and city authorities with support from Zaporizhstal Iron & Steel Works of Metinvest Group, providing a festive site for residents and guests of Zaporizhzhia.
