In the Hot Rolling Strip Mill Production Shop, “Zaporizhstal” II&SW successfully adopted the production process of new types of roll-formed sections made of stainless steel grade used for building Ukrainian railroad passenger cars and superfast electric trains, under the order forwarded by PJSC “Kriukovskiy Coach-Building Works”.
Application of the production process for manufacturing of channeled sheet with improved chemical specifications, as distinguished from the sections made of low-alloyed steel grades, related to the tendencies in development of modern coach-building technologies. While advanced characteristics of strength and rigidity, roll-formed section’s surface is of excellent quality.

The Works’ metal products are used by PJSC “Kriukovskiy Coach-Building Works” for manufacturing of freight wagons and railroad passenger cats. In 2012, PJSC “KCBW” manufactured 11 thousands of freight wagons of different modifications applying flat products of “Zaporizhstal” II&SW.
