“Zaporizhstal” Integrated Iron and Steel Works is committed to improving social conditions for its employees, investing 12 million UAH in 2014 to enhance their working environment.
Following the principles of the corporate social responsibility of the Metinvest Group, “Zaporizhstal” Integrated Iron and Steel Works is gradually improving social conditions for its employees. The budget for these purposes in 2014 is 12 million UAH.
The Program on the improvement of working life (hereafter - Program) is being implemented at the Steel Plant “Zaporizhstal” with the purpose of enhancing production standards, labor productivity, and creating additional motivation for the enterprise's employees.
“We have a specific target to increase the level of social conditions for the plant employees so that people feel comfort and work satisfaction; people would like their work place,” underlined the General Director of “Zaporizhstal” Integrated Iron and Steel Works, Rostyslav Shurma.
In 2014, the program includes repairs, reconstructions, and modernizations of welfare rooms, canteens, recreation rooms, and shift meeting rooms in the manufacturing shops of the plant, covering a total area of 7,000 sq. m. New furniture and modern equipment will be procured for their arrangement.
