From January to March, 2015, there was noted a growth of iron production at «Zaporizhstal» SW – for 6.4% as compared with the same period of 2014.From January to March, 2015, there was produced 867.9 thousand tons of iron, 939.1 thousand tons of steel, 829.0 thousand tons of rolled stock.
In March, 2015, there was produced 262.3 thousand tons of iron, 298.6 thousand tons of steel, 265.3 thousand tons of rolled-stock.
It is worth noting that the reduction in production volumes as compared with the same period of the last year is associated with the shutdown of the Blast Furnace No.2 (BF-2) for the advanced overhaul of the second category with some elements of revamping (average daily output of the furnace is about 3200 tons of iron). The furnace overhaul duration is approximately 60 days. Financing of the overhaul will make up about UAH 200 million.
