“Zaporizhstal” Integrated Iron and Steel Works participated in the research and practice round table which was held on the 21st of March at the premises of the Classic Private University. The topic of the discussion was “Current state and development prospects of eco-taxation in Ukraine”.
The event was organized with the participation of the Ministry of Revenue and Duties of Ukraine, Institute of Economy of Industry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Donetsk), Zaporizhzhya branch of the Institute of Economy of Industry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine at the Classic Private University, Zaporizhzhya regional office of the Ukrainian Advocates’ Association, Ukrainian Bar Association, Financial Law Research Institute.
The key discussion topics at the round table were achievement of the stable environment-friendly development in Ukraine, improving efficiency of the resource payments management in Ukraine, legal regulation of eco-taxation in Ukraine.
The participants of the round table pointed out successful experience of “Zaporizhstal” Integrated Iron and Steel Works in the field of environmental measures, considering active implementation of the environment-oriented modernization projects of the Works. “Implementation of the environmental measures is of great importance to the Works, it is a priority in the activity of our enterprise. Hundreds of millions of hryvnyas, invested by the Works into implementation of environmental measures such as construction of the new hydrochloric acid pickling line, reconstruction of the blast furnace No.4 and erection of the gas-cleaning plant for sinter machine No.2 provide significant ecological effect for the whole region”, stated head of the environmental protection department of “Zaporizhstal” Integrated Iron and Steel Works Inna Kholina.
