The employee's safety and health protection is the absolute priority of the Metinvest company. Quarantine and preventative measures to counteract COVID-19 outspread are rigorously met at the enterprises in Zaporozhye - PJSC "ZAPORIZHSTAL", PJSC "ZAPORIZHCOKE", PJSC "ZAPOROZHOGNEUPOR" and LLC ZCMW. In order to provide appropriate preventative measures and protection from COVID-19, more than UAH 55 mln have been earmarked.
The development of the quarantine measures, the monitoring of the fulfilment thereof and the coordination at the enterprises are provided by anti-COVID-19 emergency operations centers. The mask requirement, the specific cleaning and disinfection requirement for corporate transport, office and amenity rooms are prolonged. For the purpose of decontaminating rooms, more than 600 air recirculation units and bactericidal instruments have been purchased and installed, and the frequency of cleaning for split systems and climatic equipment has been increased.
The multilevel temperature screening has been implemented: at the entrances to the enterprises, thermal scanners are installed, and each shift in the shops starts with measuring the employees' body temperature and recording the measurements. There are mobile brigades at the enterprises, which provide temperature screening during the working day.
Every employee is provided with personal protective equipment. From the start of the pandemic, the enterprises have purchased and provided the employees with over 6 mln face masks and 630 ths medical gloves. For the purpose of hand disinfection, approximately 60 ths litres of antiseptics have been purchased.
Should the employees contract the COVID-19 infection, they are ensured reimbursement of costs for medical diagnostic procedures and treatment within the applicable programs of voluntary medical insurance.
Within the National Immunization Program, centers of voluntary vaccination for the employees from COVID-19 have been created at Metinvest's Enterprises of Zaporozhye. The Company Management Team encourages employees to take responsibility and be involved in creating collective immunity through vaccination. Therefore, every fully vaccinated employee shall receive an additional three payable days added to their annual leave.
Since April of this year, PJSC "Zaporizhstal" has earmarked more than 900 tonnes of certified liquid medical oxygen to hospitals in Zaporozhye and a number of other regions of Ukraine, free of charge.
