“Zaporizhstal” JSC enhanced the work on the realization of the project modernization of the sinter plant with the substitution of the all six sinter machines and fitting it with the high efficient gas cleaning equipment. The General Director Shurma R.I. held a staff conference at the building site of the sinter machine No.1. According to his words, this sinter machine is equipped with the powerful filters for cleaning the process gas — the project of the enterprise exclusively. The project efficiency of the object is 240 t/y on dust and 206 t/y on SO2. The total volume of the investments — is more than 40 mln. The delivery date is — till the end of the 2012.
During the staff conference at the building site the General Director of the plant while answering the questions refuted the rumors about the future mass employee lay-off. «We are speaking about the productivity enhancement, about the reduction of things to order. I don’t know who heard where the “employee lay -off”. And today I do not conduct the meeting on the headcount optimization. I am visiting the site to make the decisions, which will help us to speed up the building. That is why today we do not speak about the employee lay -off at all. The only thing, that strikes my eye, is an exaggerated office and management personnel: directors have three deputies, the heads of the department report to the deputy, who also have assistants; under them there are the heads of the departments, who also have their own deputies. And only then — two-three persons who perform the whole work! Sure thing, it is not admissible», has noted General Director of “Zaporizhstal” JSC R.I.Shurma.
According to Rostislav Shurma, the primary goal of “Zaporizhstal” management is the increase of production efficiency, assurance of safe working conditions, environmental protection and accumulation of funds for investments into the objects of vital importance for the Company — such, for example, as Construction of the Sintering machine No.1.
