On the occasion of the Day of Workers of the Steel Making and Mining Industry of Ukraine, employees of JV “Zaporizhstal”, Metinvest Group, were awarded honorary awards and prizes.
On the occasion of the professional holiday, 46 employees and the best labour teams of JV “Zaporizhstal” received awards from Metinvest Group, the enterprise and the trade union organisation. For the best production achievements, the teams of Sinter Shop, Hot Rolling Mill Shop and Grids and Substations Shop were awarded with a Certificate of Merit of Metinvest .
The highest award of the Company – “The Gold Star of Metinvest” at JV “Zaporizhstal” – was awarded to Sergiy Fashchenko, Head of Prompt Maintenance and Operation Area of Grids and Substations Shop, and Vyacheslav Panchenko, Head of Hot Rolling Department of Technical Division.

Zaporizhstal’s Malykh dynasty, which comprises 13 specialists and has 390 years of combined work experience at the plant, was awarded the Metinvest Golden Dynasty award. The close-knit family took part in the construction of defensive structures in Zaporizhzhia, elimination of the consequences of the enemy shelling, and now systematically helps those affected by the war.
The awards were presented to the best employees of JV “Zaporizhstal” by Roman Slobodianiuk, the General Director of the Works:
“This year we have proved that we can do a lot: despite the full-scale war, we have been working steadily, supporting our country and hometown. We are helping to restore homes that have suffered from enemy attacks. We have become a reliable shoulder for Ukraine’s defenders and our employees who are now on the frontline.
