In the first days of the New Year it is common practice to sum up the results of the previous year.
The production programme approved by the Chairman of the Board of our Works for 2007 has been successfully fulfilled. The main capacities were utilized by 99.8%.
The planned assignment for production of sinter amounted to 5 million 604.8 thousand tons but 5 million 626.02 thousand tons were produced or 100.4%. The production of pig iron amounted to 3 million 563.9 thousand tons or 103.6%, the production of steel amounted to 4 million 456.5 thousand tons or 102.8%. The production of rolled products reached 3 million 728.0 thousand tons or 102.4% of the planned amount.
These results show high production organization level throughout the whole year, complete and continuous supply of raw materials, power resources and, of course, the high qualification of the Works’ staff.
A similar intensive programme is to be fulfilled in the due year.
To provide normal financial and economic activity of the Works, solution of complete labour occupation of Zaporizhstal workers and their payment for labour, fulfillment of the planned social programme, it is necessary to achieve production of sinter in the volume of 5 million 711.2 thousand tons, pig iron — 3 million 526.6 thousand tons, steel — 4 million 370.9 thousand tons, rolled products — 3 million 649.4 thousand tons.
