More than 400 best Zaporizhzhia students, who study at the specialized faculties of the National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” and Zaporizhzhia National University, were awarded with Metinvest personal scholarships in 2020. The scholarship program functions under the memorandum of cooperation between Metinvest and universities signed in May 2019.
Metinvest supports university students of I-IV years, as well as those receiving master’s degrees, who show high academic results, are involved in the company’s motivational projects and have proven themselves well during internship at Zaporizhzhia enterprises of Metinvest. In total, Metinvest allocated UAH 5.4 million to pay scholarships to the best Zaporizhzhia students in 2020.
In addition, under the current memorandum, on the basis of the personnel development department of “Zaporizhstal”, trainings were organized for future specialists, which have been reformatted into webinars since March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Let us recall that in December 2020, Metinvest announced the start of the M.studentchamp student case championship, which for the first time during its holding will cover the cities of the company’s presence: Zaporizhzhia, Mariupol, Avdeevka, Krivoy Rog and Kamenskoye. Participants will receive not only valuable prizes, but also a unique opportunity for rapid professional development in the Company. Anyone can apply for the competition on the project website.
