On the 2nd of April, 2013, the General Director of “Zaporizhstal” II&SW Rostislav Shurma gave a master class to 150 students of Zaporozhye National University within the framework of FormulaS — All-Ukrainian Education Project made by SCM Company.
FormulaS Project started in April, 2010, within the framework of the “Modern Education” Social Programme made by SCM Company, foresees arrangement of master-classes by the top-managers from SCM Group for the students of Ukrainian Higher Educational Institutions. The master-class by Rostislav Shurma titled as “How to be a General Director when you are 29”, opened a spring season of FormulaS lectures in Zaporozhye. During 2 hours, the students could ask the questions of their interest and get the informative answers from Rostislav Shurma, the sole executive authority of “Zaporizhstal” II&SW, the largest iron and steel enterprise of Zaporozhye region.
In the course of communication, Rostislav Shurma told the students about operation of the iron and steel enterprise and about priority areas of the Works’ activity in the nearest future. The students came to know that at this stage, the Works’ management is realizing a large-scale investment programme on revamping of production facilities, directed to the gain in production performance and ecology improvement in Zaporozhye region.
“In order to manage any iron and steel enterprise of such level, under present day conditions, five components of success formula are important, namely: strong team, free from pain for decision-making responsibility, constantly going-ahead, ability to achieve a result, professionalism and all-round development”, — such components of success have been mentioned by Rostislav Shurma, General Director of “Zaporizhstal” II&SW, for the students
