JSC “Zaporozhstal” Chief Financial Officer Ruslan Bozhko was included into the list of 50 most efficient Chief Financial Officers of Ukraine according to the rating, made up by All Ukrainian financial and economic weekly newspaper “Investgazeta” with engaging on an expert basis such world famous companies as Talent Advisors , KPMG, Concorde Capital, Ernst & Young, Horizon Capital, PricewaterhouseCoopers.
For compiling of top 50 of best Chief Financial Officers, the authoritative experts selected 50 best specialists in the finance field out of 110 challengers — chief financial officers of the largest companies per the version of “Top-100” magazine.
Ruslan Bozhko was born in 1976, graduated from Donetsk State University with specialization in “Marketing”. He occupied the posts in international companies PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte & Touche Ukrainian Servise Company. He gained vast practical experience of work in the field of management and finance in “Metinvest Group”. Since August 2011, he has been working in the position of Chief Financial Officer of JSC“Zaporozhstal”.
We remind, that Steel Works “Zaporozhstal” completed the year 2012 with high performance indicators in all type of products. In the second half of 2012., Steel Works reached substantial decrease of production cost — 14,684 million UAH., as compared to year 2011, when prime cost was 17,037 million UAH. Since August 2012, the Steel Works went on breakeven production level, which permitted to renew the frozen in the recent years modernization and reconstruction programs of “Zaporozhstal”.
It was possible to achieve such results, among other things, thanks to responsible financial and economic policy in all lines of activities of the Steel Works, under the management of JSC“Zaporozhstal” Chief Financial Officer Ruslan Bozhko.
One of the main achievements was the implementation from August 2012 the project of raising of efficiency of production and optimization of expenses. In tight schedule, there was set up a system of monthly operating budget, optimized the system of management accounting and reporting forms, made up business plan for 2013, revised accounting policies of Steel Works and financial accounting was brought to international standards. For the first time, during last three years the Steel Works received the auditor’s opinion, confirmed by the largest audit companies PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte, Ernst & Young и KPMG.
