Nemin, including A. Vasilyev, V. Barziya,V. Snizhko, Ye. Shevchenko, M. Belovol, produced its first products: cold-rolled thick large-size plates of special steels.

The shop was oriented on the production of high strength steel and ultra high strength steel for the needs of the military industrial complex.

By the end of 1963 the shop produced 10.6 thousand tons of cold-rolled sheets. Already next year the volume of produced products doubled.

In particular, Zaporizhstal rollers rolled titanium alloys for the space programme “Buran”. For mastering specific types of products a group of Zaporizhstal workers, among which were the former Director of the plant L.D. Yupko and the present Head of the Central Laboratory V.S.
