BULGARIA AND MOLDOVA AMBASSADORS PAID A WORKING VISIT TO PJSC “ZAPORIZHSTAL”

On April 21, 2017, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria Krasimir Minchev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova Ruslan Bolbochan visited PJSC “Zaporizhstal” as part of the working visit. During the visit, the diplomats got acquainted with the projects of the environmental modernization of the Steel Works.

The representatives of the diplomatic mission got acquainted with an example of successful implementation of one of the large-scale ecological modernization project – new pickling line CPL-4 in cold rolling shop No. 1. The guests also visited the central control room of the enterprise, where the multilevel production control system “Enterprise is in plain sight” was successfully implemented on-line.

“PJSC “Integrated Iron and Steel Works “Zaporizhstal” is often visited not only by diplomatic missions or government delegations. Annually more than two thousand townsmen, among whom – schoolboys, students, city visitors, come at the Steel Works. The reason for such a high interest is to see first-hand how the program of production environmental modernization is being implemented at the Steel Works,” – said First Deputy General Director of PJSC “Zaporizhstal” – Production Director Aleksandr Tretyakov.

During the visit, the diplomats also visited the site of a large-scale reconstruction of blast furnace No. 3.

“PJSC “Integrated Iron and Steel Works “Zaporizhstal” impresses with the scale of production and the pace of implementation of the comprehensive program for environmental modernization. Zaporizhzhia region has a huge economic potential. I am sure that the visit to the enterprise will be the starting point for the resumption and intensification of active cooperation between Zaporizhzhia and Bourgas, which were previously sister cities,” – said Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Ukraine Krasimir Minchev.

It will be recalled that PJSC “Zaporizhstal”, in accordance with the technological strategy aimed at environmental modernization, has invested UAH 5.7 billion in the development and renewal of production since 2012.
