More than 250 interns in accordance with the program undergo paid internships, many of them return to the enterprise for employment in their first job. In 2020, “Zaporizhstal” will employ about 100 young professionals. This year, Zaporizhstal will also employ about 200 workers under the age of 30.
The company has a special program of internship and adaptation of young specialists in production conditions, a system for retaining experienced mentors.
Under Metinvest program for attracting, hiring and retaining young people at the Company’s enterprises, “Zaporizhstal” has motivational projects for both young employees and students and pupils of industry-specific specialties. In 2020, about 400 best students of Zaporizhzhia will be awarded with Metinvest scholarships. The total scholarship fund will be up to UAH 6 million per year.
In Zaporizhzhia, specialists in specialties in demand at the enterprise are trained by Zaporizhzhia National University, National University ” Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic”, Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic Center of Vocational Education, Zaporizhzhia Metallurgical College of Zaporizhzhia National University, Zaporizhzhia Machine-Building Higher Vocational School, Zaporizhzhia Professional Lyceum of Railway Transport, others.
