This ranking identifies Ukraine's largest exporters of 2024—50 companies that have helped sustain the Ukrainian economy during the war and made significant contributions to promoting domestic products worldwide. The list includes enterprises from the agricultural sector, food industry, mechanical engineering, woodworking and furniture industries, as well as seven major players in the mining and metallurgical complex (MMC), among which is "Zaporizhstal".

The total export of Ukrainian MMC products in 2024 amounted to $7.3 billion, of which up to $3.9 billion* was provided by Metinvest, including "Zaporizhstal". In 2024, the plant exported steel and pig iron to 40 countries worldwide. The key consumer countries of the enterprise's products are Poland, Romania, Spain, Bulgaria, Italy, and the USA.

Notably, in the publication's ranking, the Metinvest Group secured first place in terms of export volumes in the wartime year of 2024 among MMC companies. The company exported iron ore raw materials, flat products, and steel semi-finished products to 51 countries worldwide, including Poland, China, Bulgaria, the USA, and Slovakia. In 2024, Metinvest expanded its supply geography to India, Sweden, and Norway.

The main factor that ensured the improvement of "Zaporizhstal" and Metinvest Group's results in 2024 was the opening of the sea corridor from Odesa ports and the implementation of an operational efficiency enhancement program, which allowed for improved operational performance.
