In 2024, Metinvest's Zaporizhzhia-based businesses - Zaporizhstal, Zaporizhzhia Refractories, ZaporizhCoke and Zaporizhzhia Casting and Mechanical Plant - paid over UAH 3 billion in taxes and fees to budgets of all levels. The total volume of tax payments increased by 35% comparing with 2023.

"The stable operation of the enterprise in a frontline region is a result that is extremely difficult to achieve under the current conditions. On one hand, we implement measures to increase operational efficiency at the production site. On the other hand, we focus on customer orientation and product quality to ensure currency income for Ukraine's economy through our exports. While the team at the enterprise works, Zaporizhstal supports our country, army, and society despite the challenges of wartime," said Taras Shevchenko, Acting General Director of Zaporizhstal, Hero of Ukraine.

Metinvest Group's enterprises remain among the largest taxpayers in Zaporizhzhia. Local budgets received over UAH 1 billion in 2024, which is 30% more than in 2023.

In 2024, single personal income tax and single social contribution were the largest contributors in terms of taxes and fees. Environmental, land and military taxes also accounted for a significant share of payments.

As a reminder, Metinvest Group, including associates and joint ventures, increased its payments of taxes and duties to the budgets of all levels in Ukraine by 36% compared to 2023 to UAH 19.8 billion.

Metinvest remains one of the largest taxpayers and private donors to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the company has directed over UAH 8 billion to aid Ukraine and Ukrainian citizens, of which UAH 4.4 billion is for the needs of the Ukrainian army as part of Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front military initiative.
