Metinvest Group's Zaporizhstal Iron and Steel Works has successfully passed an audit for compliance of hot-rolled and cold-rolled products with EN 10025 and EN 10130 standards.
On February 24 and 25, 2025, an auditor from Technical and Management Services LLC, a corporate partner of the TÜV SÜD certification company, inspected the manufacturing technology for hot-rolled and cold-rolled products at Zaporizhstal.
To verify that the mechanical properties of the rolled products meet standards, steel samples were taken for testing at Zaporizhstal's Product Testing and Certification Centre. The auditor reviewed the technical and organisational documentation. The expert highly praised the systematic efforts to improve product quality and implement new customer-focused approaches.
The audit confirmed that Zaporizhstal's hot-rolled and cold-rolled products comply with EN 10025-1:2004 (including Annex ZA), Construction Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011, and EN 10130 standards.
Additionally, the scope of certification has been expanded to include hot-rolled products manufactured from steel grades suitable for flanging and cold-bending. This will create new opportunities to sell such rolled products according to the needs of European consumers.
It should be mentioned that Zaporizhstal has been operating in accordance with EN 10025-1: 2004 and EN 10130: 2006 standards since 2016. As a reminder, Zaporizhstal has been certified and has consistently confirmed its compliance with international standards, including the Quality Management System (ISO 9001) since 2003, the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) since 2008, and the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001) since 2008.
