"Under the most challenging wartime conditions, the steel industry remains the mainstay of the country's economy and resilience. Despite shelling, power outages, and logistical challenges, Zaporizhstal and other Metinvest companies in Zaporizhzhia not only continue operating but also adapt, increase their efficiency, and remain exporters of Ukrainian products, generating foreign currency earnings and tax revenues for the state budget and supporting the Ukrainian army. We understand that preserving major budget-contributing enterprises today is the key to Ukraine's future post-war recovery", said Taras Shevchenko, General Director of Zaporizhstal and Hero of Ukraine.
