On the occasion of the Metallurgist and Miner's Day in Ukraine, Zaporizhstal of Metinvest Group awarded specialists whose achievements in work and contribution to public activities were most significant. Metinvest enterprise teams remain a reliable pillar of the economy of Ukraine on the path to victory.

The contribution of Zaporizhzhia metallurgists to the development of the enterprise, industry, and support of the state economy was honoured with corporate awards and certificates from Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Regional Council, and City Executive Committee.

On the occasion of Metallurgist and Miner's Day, the CEO of Metinvest Group Yuriy Ryzhenkov personally awarded the Gold Star of Metinvest to Artem Kalinevych, a senior foreman of the mill and reheating furnaces at the hot rolling shop, and Oleh Isenko, a foreman at the sinter shop.

May there be work. May there be a future for our children. Glory to miners, metallurgists, and coke-workers!" said Yuriy Ryzhenkov, CEO of Metinvest Group.

The title of Gold Metallurgist Dynasty of Metinvest was given to the Pavlechenko-Dvornichenko dynasty with a total work experience of 251 years at Zaporizhstal. In general, the enterprise encompasses 25 dynasties (families of three or more generations) with combined work experience of over 5,000 years.

Teams of the sinter shop, open-hearth shop, heat and power plant, electrical equipment repair shop, and railway office received the honorary certificates from the CEO of Metinvest for their significant contribution to improving enterprise production efficiency and achieving the best production and financial performance. Each shop honoured with the certificate also received a financial bonus of UAH 40,000 for improving workplace conditions.

The team of Zaporizhstal produced over 1.7 million tonnes of pig iron, almost 1.6 million tonnes of steel, and shipped approximately 1.3 million tonnes of rolled products in the first half of 2025. Every third tonne of Ukrainian steel is manufactured at Zaporizhstal.

Additionally, the enterprise also conducted solemn meetings to present awards from Metinvest Group, the enterprise, and the trade union organisation for personal achievements in the professional field. In total, 102 employees received awards and financial bonuses.

As a tradition for the professional holiday, Zaporizhstal updated the Honour Board. The installation features photos of 46 of the best employees of the enterprise near the entrance control post. The Council of Retirees of the enterprise also received a cash certificate to encourage the most active members of the organisation.
