Renovation of Khortytsia

We strive to develop the tourism potential of Zaporizhzhia, so we joined the project to renovate the legendary island. Its key milestones were the reconstruction of the Museum of the History of Zaporizhzhia Cossacks, Unity Hill and the Cossack Circle.

These facilities not only received convenient infrastructure, but also became accessible to all people without exception - the space became barrier-free. Also, for the first time in its history, Khortytsia has received its own brand and identity.

Development of Zaporizhzhia infrastructure

The Works built a modern four-lane highway to replace the old two-lane road on Severne Shosse Street, which doubled the capacity to 16 thousand vehicles per day. High-quality lighting of the road is provided by energy-efficient LED lamps. The length of the constructed section is almost 3 km. Zaporizhstal's investments amounted to more than UAH 200 million.

Taking care of veterans from Zaporizhstal

One of social priorities of “Zaporizhstal” SW is care of the veterans. The company provides a financial support for unemployed pensioners, that is: monthly payments, payments for the state festivals and for the day of an aged person. Company’s’ veterans can have a rest and improve their health in the sanatorium-preventorium and in recreation house. Besides, “Zaporizhstal”, on a constant basis, supports its veteran organizations.

Zaporizhstal carries out a number of actions of a social orientation with assistance of the Metallurgists’ Cultural Centre, “Sputnik” Children’s Health Improving Center, a sports complex, yacht-club, “Metallurg” Recreation House, “Nadezhda” recreation camp, sanatorium-preventorium on Khortitsa island and “Brigantine” youth camp.
