Life and health personnel – the main value of the plant

This policy-based MK “Zaporizhstal” in quality, energy efficiency, health and ecology. The main purpose of the enterprise in the field of occupational safety and health – to achieve zero occupational injuries indicators and the creation of safe working conditions. The plant created and operates the Central Commission for occupational safety, industrial and technological safety, and environmental protection.

Reducing the impact of production on people and the environment

MK “Zaporizhstal” constantly reduces the impact of its operations on human health and the environment. An integrated system of quality management, environmental and labor protection plant complies with international standards ISO 9001: 2000, ISO 14001: 2004, ONSAS 18001: 2007, ILO-OSH 2001.

Continuous modernization of production assets

Since 2012, over 16 billion UAH has been invested in the environmental modernization of Zaporizhstal. The largest implemented projects include the environmental reconstruction of the sinter plant, the modernization of blast furnaces with the installation of state-of-the-art casting yard and stockhouse aspiration systems, and the construction of Ukraine's only hydrochloric acid pickling line in the cold rolling shop
